e-Babylab provides the option to administer adaptive, short-form versions of the MacArthur–Bates Communicative Development Inventories (CDIs) as a part of each experiment. CDIs (termed Instruments in e-Babylab) are administered via item response theory and CDI estimates are computed based on prior CDI data (retrieved from Wordbank) from children with matching key demographics (Chai et al., 2020; Mayor & Mani, 2019).

The CDI instruments a user has access to (i.e., has permission to change or delete) are shown in the Instrument Admin.
